If something has to give, then it always will

Seriously, where are the recent films? It's a quarter into 2006 and NO new films have been interesting whatsoever so far. And Hollywood wonders why it's dwindling audiences continue? Because your films suck. Seriously. 75 days before getting a decent film out?

Although V for Vendetta could spark the riot. And when the hell is A Scanner Darkly coming out??

might be a while for the Davinci code, I heard that the guy who wrote the book was getting sued which in turn could delay the movie. Although if they do make the movie I have a feeling that Tom Hanks will become the new Mel Gibson *groan!*

As much as I loathe Mel Gibson's recent biblical hackery, he's still a solid actor.

Tom Hanks is also a solid actor, but I don't need Hollywood forcing their beliefs don't my throat (never thought I'd be saying that...).

Moving on, Da Vinci's suings are for the author of the book - which he will obviously win. Of course, that'll increase interest in the film/book, and more people will see it. Controversial publicity ALWAYS boosts a film's revenue. Especially when it's an adaptation of the novel...

I agree. My beef is that there is going to be so many tards running around after seeing the movie spouting it as gospel truth. (pun intended) I also agree that Mel is solid its just too bad he hasn't been in anything since to redeem himself. As for Hollywood forcing anything down your throat..well be glad its just their beliefs ;)

Sadly, that is an industry I will eventually work in...

That'll always be the dream, although I may stick to editing or cinematography. More than likely though, I'll have to find a way to fund my own movies, cause I know Hollywood won't bite. Vancouver here I come!

Moving on, Hollywood seems to have a plethora of hacks trying to intermingle their religions into things. I don't care if you're religious, but when Jim Caveizel went and saw the friggin' Pope because he was Jesus.. that's just too far. I just can't stand having to hear these actors' crappy religious statements. Just act or shut up, your personal life is of no interest to me.

I'd actually rather them to be hooker-banging crackmonkeys, so at least I know they'll do that in a movie if I want them too...
